Warehouse Team Leader – Telford – Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of a privately owned, financially stable organisation in Central Telford for a new Warehouse Supervisor. This permanent position will suit a warehouse / stores professional who is looking for a new opportunity in a fast paced, clean, modern warehousing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working in this busy, hands-on, fast-paced role within a small team executing a wide range of daily tasks, assisting to develop the warehouse and increase operational efficiencies as well as cover for the Warehouse Manager in their absence.

Working on a Monday – Friday day shift, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

· Supporting the Warehouse Manager in ensuring the efficient running of the busy warehouse team

· Picking, Packing and despatching sales orders

· Checking and booking in purchase orders

· Stock maintenance including regular cycle counts

· Cleaning and general housekeeping

· Developing warehouse procedures and efficiencies

To be considered for the role, you’ll need to have experience of running a stores or warehouse operation and ideally have man-management / supervisory experience in this type of environment. You’ll need to have strong communication and organisational skills, be IT literate and have good leadership and motivational capabilities. You will also need to be numerate and have good attention to detail.

You will ideally have experience of running small warehouse teams in a ‘hands on’ role.

Although the need for overtime is rare, you will also need to be able to be flexible on occasion.

The role is in Central Telford and so is commutable from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Shifnal, Walsall, Stafford, Newport, Bridgnorth, Perton etc
