Learning Support Assistant (New Addington)

• Work with teachers to plan and deliver learning activities that meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
• Provide one-to-one support for students with additional needs.
• Assist with class activities, including supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and physical needs.
• Foster a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and senior leadership.
• Attend meetings with parents, teachers, and other professionals as required.

• Experience working with students with SEND, ideally in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of a range of SEN needs and strategies to support students with these needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to working with students.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, would be an advantage.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one.
