Teaching Assistant (New Addington)

• Work with teachers to plan and deliver learning activities that meet the individual needs of students.
• Provide one-to-one support for students with additional needs.
• Assist with class activities, including supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs.
• Help to create a safe and positive learning environment.
• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and SLTs.
• Attend meetings with parents, teachers, and other professionals as required.

• Experience working in a similar role, ideally in a SEND setting.
• Knowledge of a range of SEN needs and strategies to support students with these needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A patient, supportive and positive approach to working with students.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, would be an advantage.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one.
