Remote GCSE Media Studies Tutor

**ENHANCED DBS WITH CHILDREN BARRED CHECK (WITHIN 4 YEARS OF ISSUE) REQUIRED PRIOR TO APPLICATION**

This high-opportunity role is fit for anyone proactive, smart, out-going and willing to advance their tutoring career.

We are a small (online only) tuition agency serving mainly KS2, KS3, GCSE and AS/A-Level curriculums in the UK only.

We can charge clients whatever you wish after discussing this with us (within reason). Payments are made to your account 1-2 times per month and our lessons are 1-1 online.

We will promote your CV and recommend you to clients where fit. We will then work with you to find some timings where both you and the client is available to do a quick 15 to 20-minute consultation so you can take over from us and manage this client from thereon, recording your sessions with them on the system.

We provide payment processing, a great lesson space and a booking system for our tutors; our commission is 30% of client revenue.

What we like to see (but not all are mandatory):

- You must be able to provide at least 9 hours commitment per week to this role, assisting around 6 clients weekly.

- We would like you to hold UK GCSE’s and A’s/grade 7’s or above for the subjects you teach at GCSE Level.

- We would like you to hold UK A-Levels at a grade A or above in the subjects you teach at A-Level.

- We would like tutors to be able to take on at least 6 clients from us but your client numbers will build up with us gradually over a few months, so they won’t be given to you all at once! Clients take 1 hour per week on average of lessons.

- You and the clients are free to arrange the timings of your sessions to whenever suits you (as the tutor).

- You are happy to teach KS2, KS3, GCSE & A-Level students in your subject specialisation.

- We require tutors to provide lesson reports for each lesson.

- We require tutors provide a reasonable amount homework between sessions if it’s something the client is looking for (which a very small proportion are), (and they are doing at least 1 hour per week). We don’t charge any extra for this supplementary homework.

- You need to be capable with computers and laptops.

- We require you to have a UK (+44) mobile number for both SMS/Calling & WhatsApp.

- You must be proactive and assist our clients we have matched you with (for example, don’t ignore them and assume we’ll do the work if they did not attend the consultation, instead; call them, text them and/or email them to boost your chance of securing this client).

- You must have a UK bank account, and have the right to work in the UK.

- Please note this is a self-employment opportunity.

- Experience in previous roles affiliated with education is required.

- Experience in tutoring and tutoring online required.

- Enhanced DBS check required.
