LGC ASSURE serves manufacturing, laboratory, ingredients and supplements sectors.
We are looking for a committed and proactive Technician to join our Sample Management Team. This is an ideal first/entry level role for someone keen on working in Science. In this role you will provide and develop, as part of a wider team, a high quality sample management service for the analytical chemistry service customers. Full training will be given.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct analytical work using appropriate techniques and in accord with regulatory standards, e.g. ISO 17025/GMP
- Working as part of an operational team to provide samples to the laboratory in a timely manner
- Receive samples and perform integrity checks, completing all documentation
- Dispensing, storage under relevant conditions and disposal of samples
- Log samples to LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) or to ‘out of hours’ book when required
What we need from you:
- Educated to GCSE level; acquiring 5 GCSE's graded A-C.
- Effective time management ensuring objectives and tasks are completed on time and to an acceptable standard
- Make a positive contribution and take responsibility for how actions affect the rest of the team
- Good communicator, able to convey written and spoken information accurately and concisely
- Keen eye for detail
