Position Overview & Specifications

We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible English teacher to join our team and support our students. The ideal candidate will have some varied experience of teaching different nationalities and willing to learn. Due to the inconsistent nature of the business at present. Someone with a flexible schedule is preferred.

Job Purpose:

· An ability to teach English from Elementary to Advanced levels and ESP courses

· Enthusiasm and flexibility, excellent organisational skills

· A sound understanding of assessment and monitoring

· Passion for raising student achievement and motivating students

· An ability to teach exam courses, including Cambridge and IELTs

· An ability to promote effective teaching and learning across all abilities

· Passion for teaching ESP (English for Specific Purposes)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

· Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitates active learning

· Regularly keep lesson plans, schemes of work and other records

· Prepare classroom for various kinds of activities

· Provide a variety of learning materials and resources to meet students’ varying needs

· Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment

· Use relevant technology to support the learning process

· Observe and evaluate students’ performance and development

· Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments

· Provide appropriate feedback on students’ work

· Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development

· Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, policies and school regulations

· Prepare required reports on students and activities

· Manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures

· Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school

· Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary

· Perform certain pastoral duties including, but not limited to, student support, counselling students with academic problems and providing encouragement

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £9.00-£20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
All teachers and students wear masks in class and the temperature of all present at the school is taken and logged. Hand sanitisers are available throughout the school.
