Furniture Delivery Driver/Porter

Livre Logistics have exciting an exciting new opportunity for a full-time driver/porter to deliver and install luxury beds nationwide. If you’re a hardworking individual up for a challenge then this would well be the role for you. Full training will be given, with assistance to becoming a highly skilled pro – we offer hands on training, a supportive team and you will not be thrown in at the deep end at any stage.

Requirements: You will need to be over 25 for Insurance reasons, fit and strong as a lot of the items are very heavy. Some mattresses can weigh up to 130kg and due to the nature of their manufacture this means they do not bend and can make deliveries very challenging due to the weight and access routes at properties. The fact that we offer full nationwide coverage means days can be very long with some days starting as early as 4am so 12 hour plus days can be quite regular. You will be on the front line, customer facing, so good personable skills are a must and the attitude to go above and beyond for the client are paramount. A hard working, reliable work ethic is an absolute must as it’s really not a job for the faint hearted. We are a relatively new company expanding very quickly and soon moving to a much larger distribution warehouse in Alton so the more local you are to there the better.

What Livre Logistics Do: We specialise in delivering Luxury Furniture, Antiques Art Work and pride ourselves in being able to deliver and Install difficult jobs so you will need to be of a determined nature that finds satisfaction in completing these challenging tasks.

What We Can Offer: The driver/porter will have a starting rate of £12.50 per hour which will be increased to £15.00 per hour after a satisfactory probationary period. There are big opportunities for career progression for the right individuals. Full uniform and training provided.
