Who are the End to End Engineering Team?

Our team sits within the GCOO division, in the Finance Platform, working on the Transforming Finance programme. We're building the infrastructure required for the other workstreams to deliver their change whilst also defining strategy within the programme.

Transforming Finance is a multi year programme to simplify our Finance Estate, utilising cloud technologies (GCP/EDH and Oracle) as well as modern ways of Engineering.

We're a group of people pulled together by our passion for coding, experimenting, designing, and learning everything that makes us better engineers.

Our mission

Our Group vision is to be the best bank for customers and to realize this we have the mission to make it the best bank for Engineers! We’re looking for individuals who are motivated by delivering change in a modern way, utilising technology to be creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, as well as defining version control and security across the new finance estate.

We're redefining how our finance estate looks over the next few years, and as well as transforming the technology used, we're transforming how we deliver it, with DevOps and Automation at the heart of our delivery mode

What would you get involved with?

Sitting in the E2E engineering team and working with other DevOps engineers, your role would be working with multiple workstreams in the program, creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for change delivery, as well as looking at best practice to ensure we’re delivering in the most efficient, but compliant way.

What do you need to be considered for this job?
We like people who come from a variety of industry backgrounds are encouraged having a team with varied strengths. For the role we would be looking for the following skills and qualities:
  • Collaborating and upskilling engineers in their workstreams to use the tools provided
  • Passionate about technology, open to new ideas and able to problem solve independently
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Hands on Jenkins experience in creating CI/CD pipelines
  • Kubernetes/Docker
  • GIT
  • UrbanCode Deploy
