Banking Products Legal plays a critical role in supporting the bank's strategy for commercial customers.

Banking Products Legal provides legal support for product development and innovation; change projects; rectifications and remediations; industry change initiatives; customer on-boarding and customer journeys and the management of legal risk relating to relevant products and services.

The role covers Cash Management & Payments and Online Channels providing legal support for cash management and payments solutions to small businesses and larger corporate customers, financial institutions, government bodies and local authorities. We support colleagues in Product, Coverage, Risk and Delivery plus other functional support areas. The products and services we support include cash management solutions such as accounts/deposits, payment services, liquidity services (pooling and sweeping), digital innovations and the online/digital channels through which products and services are provided to clients.

You will be part of an encouraging and collaborative team helping to find legal solutions to support strategy. We like to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement activity.

Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework applicable to cash management products and commercial customers will be helpful to the initial aspect of this role. This is not essential though and please don’t let the overall wide ranging nature of the role put you off – we are looking for someone with transferable skills and a growth mindset.

We are a supportive team, and we will provide training and guidance. You must be at least three years qualified as a solicitor in the UK (or equivalent qualification).
