- Work alongside the Head of GRA and the rest of the team to drive the Group’s ambitions around Regulatory Engagement. Manage the day-to-day relationship with the PRA in specified topic/business areas of responsibility.
- Support senior Group executives and Board members to achieve the best possible outcomes in their interactions with the PRA. Prepare briefings, MI and reports that provide senior management and the Board with latest positions on regulatory topics and insight about the approach/views of our supervisors.
- Assist driving the transformation of Regulatory Affairs, seeking opportunities to automate activities and enhance products delivered.
- Act as a trusted adviser for business contacts to ensure regulatory interactions are successful.
- Learn from internal and external sources to evolve LBG’s engagement to meet regulatory expectations.
- Influence business decision-making by providing insight, control and thought leadership.
- Previous experience working with/or at the PRA or FCA.
- Knowledge and understanding of the prudential regulations applicable to the Group.
- Experience and knowledge of operational risk and operational resilience and the PRA’s requirements in these areas (SS1/21).
- Strong ability to communicate in all forms and to audiences at all levels both internally and externally.
- Experience of producing high quality written content in the form of board / GEC-1 papers and briefings.
- Evidence of being an adopter of change and embracing transformation.
- Proven track record to provide effective thought leadership and intellectual curiosity to produce insightful, high-quality briefings, contact reports, advice and guidance to support senior partner needs.
- Passion for operational and compliance risk and a good understanding of the UK regulatory environment.
- Desire and capability to understand the Group’s key risks and appreciation of the regulator’s likely approach to assessing these risks.
