We have a fantastic opportunity to join a newly formed network development team to help drive automation and transition to our new network architecture.
The team has responsibility for the availability, development and change delivery for Lloyds Banking Group's network and voice technologies.
These services are supplied by various vendors. In terms of critical services, these have long been, and will remain crucial to the organisation and its customers.
Your focus would be on collaboration across security, architecture, internal platforms teams and other areas of the business as we build and move to the new data centre network.
You’ll look to promote and co-ordinate the direction, development and adoption of the “Network Services “ these include software defined networks & security, automation, monitoring and Management toolsets.
Job Description
What we're looking for:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced software/business automation developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing software solutions that automate business processes and workflows.
We need a versatile team member showing drive and enthusiasm, that can think and dream big, have fun and enjoy being part of an upbeat, hard-working team.
Essential skills:
  • A previous technical background in both business process automation and scripting web/software dev
  • An appreciation and knowledge around automation and dev toolsets.
  • Strong experience in software development using one or more of the following languages/applications: Java, C#, Python, Ruby, MS Power Platform
  • Good understanding of business processes and workflows
  • Experience in software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Good understanding of database technologies such as SQL
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
Some of the other desirable experience that would be useful:
  • Experience in developing automation solutions
  • Experience in using workflow management tools
  • Experience in building and using RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to absorb technical detail, identify relevant value and articulate in plain language.

You'll need excellent communications skills (presentation, written and oral), collaborating and influencing confidently and effectively at various levels.
We'll want you to demonstrate a high level of drive and motivation, focusing energies on the things that really matter, with an ability to identify and help deliver improvements, and organising own workloads
And we'll be looking for your desire to grow own capabilities by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities.
