Responsibilities:
The Calderdale health visiting service are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic nursery nurse to join their team based at Horsfall House in Halifax. The Health visiting team can make a real difference to children, families and communities and play a fundamental role in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, promoting child development, safeguarding children, preventing social exclusion and deprivation and tackling important public health issues.
A commitment to work in partnership with other children’s statutory and voluntary agencies is essential in order to improve the outcomes for children, and in addressing health inequalities of the diverse populations we serve.
Experience of working with families demonstrating high levels of need is desirable but not essential as support, preceptorship and professional development is available.
Locala is committed to using new technology to support robust mobile working and the use of mobile devices to enable staff to work more flexibly to address the needs of the community.
