As the successful candidate, you will work as part of the UK Applications Development team, along side skilled and experienced individuals. Working within the team, you will have opportunity to influence the direction of various projects which can range from responsive websites to mobile applications to automation, which support Lockheed Martin Business Areas within the UK and across the globe.
You will learn the tools, techniques and approaches used by the team and apply them in a controlled environment to ensure projects are delivered on time, to quality and to budget.
As part of the role you will engage in the full software development lifecycle process under the guidance of Senior Software Developers within the team.

You will not be expected to know the technologies we use from day one, however we will expect you to be keen to learn!

Desired skills, qualifications and experience
To be considered for this role, ideally you will have:

Interest in programming

Good problem-solving approach

Awareness of web applications / languages

Positive approach to supporting and implementing new ways of working in a demanding work environment

A desire to develop communication and relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.

Interest data analytics and database design

Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related Computing subjects

Or

Coding experience as a junior developer with experience with any of the following;

A knowledge of Object Orientated Programming

Experience with C#

Some experience of Visual Studio, .NET Core,ASP.NET Core

Knowledge of SQL and relational database development

This exciting opportunity for a Software Developer Apprentice will be based at the Havant location within the IT Function. The IT Function provide UK wide support to all the business areas.
Enterprise Business Services (EBS) consists of LMUK IT Services, Payroll, ESH, HR and Finance functions. With employees located throughout the UK, EBS provides UK wide support to the LMUK business areas.
