We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self- motivated and dynamic Team Manager to join the Long-Term Occupational Therapy Team, which is committed to driving forward key agendas on personalisation and integrated working. You will be managing a team consisting of 2 Deputy Team Managers, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Occupational Therapists and the Sensory Team consisting of a Rehabilitation Officer for the Blind and a Visual Impairment Officer.
Key Responsibilities
1. To deliver efficient and effective management of the Long-Term Occupational Therapy and Sensory team.
2. To ensure the service is of a high quality and customer focused.
3. To manage staff and resources allocated to the job, in accordance with the Councils vision, policies, governance arrangements and values.
4. To raise performance of Occupational Therapy Services in Hounslow and empower the team to contribute to continuous improvement and provide suitable outcomes for residents to improve their wellbeing
5. To risk manage and review options to meet residents needs
Your Skills
1. Ability and experience to work with your team supporting them to develop and flourish
2. Ability and experience of improving service delivery
3. Provide professional decision making and judgement.
4. Have good organisational skills; being able to prioritise your work and oversight of the teams workload.
5. To remain calm and supportive whilst working under pressure with a can-do approach.
6. Be confident applying relevant legislation and best practice guidance with the ability to sustain a clear performance focus.
Professional Qualifications:
  • You should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Have experience in working in Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registered.
