House Keeper

Key Tasks

• Ensure that beds are changed and rooms ready for visitors
• Ensure that accommodation is cleared and dressed ahead of use
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the site
• Ensure all showers/toilets/sinks are fully functional and report any maintenance issues to your line manager
• Keep all areas clean and tidy and safe for visitors
• Be aware of our visitors needs and recognise expectations of visitors
• Take any lost property to the main reception
• Use cleaning products in a safe manner
• Report cleaning stock shortages to your line manager
• Carry out instructions given by line manager
• Report any maintenance issues or possible safety issues on site to your line manager

All team members are expected to embrace the cultures and values of the organisation and support the team to achieve our objectives.

Qualities:

• Well organised with good time management skills
• Attention to detail
• Able to work individually and as part of a team
• Previous cleaning experience and knowledge is desirable
• Own transport required

• Ensure a high customer service rating from all visitors

Contract Information

Seasonal contract to commence mid-April and finish end of October. Based at Longridge. Work 40 hours per week, which will include bank holidays, weekends and evenings. Salary package of c£23k, possibility of affordable on-site accommodation.

Longridge:

Longridge is a charity that operates an outdoor activity centre on the banks of the Thames in Bisham/Marlow. The centre provides a range of adventurous outdoor activities such as kayaking, dragon boating, climbing and various team building activities. All of the activities are designed to build confidence, self-respect and independence in young people. Around 80,000 young people visit every year for the day, afternoon or stay on site in our tented accommodation. We operate a ‘Robin Hood’ business model, in that we charge cost plus for those that can afford it and use our surplus to underwrite the cost for those that can’t. The charities’ objective is to provide activities for everyone – no matter their ability or background.
