Graduate Teaching Assistant – Future Teacher | Leicester
Are you a recent graduate who’s eager to pursue a career in education?
Are you looking to gain long-term experience working within a mainstream secondary school ahead of embarking on your Teacher Training?
An Outstanding secondary School in Leicester are currently looking for recent university Graduates with teaching aspirations to join their support staff team after the half-term break supporting students in KS3 and KS4 classes. This is a fantastic oppurtunity for passionate graduates to gain hands-on experience in a mainstream secondary school. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will working 1:1 with pupils working below age-expected targets, and pupils with special educational needs including Autism, supporting them with their classwork, encouraging their interaction and engagement in lessons, and supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons. This full-time role will be available for the rest of the academic year, working during school hours, with the potential to become a permanent position in the school for the right candidate.
Applicant Specification:
- A relevant degree or TA qualification.
- Previous experience working with children.
- Experience supporting children with SEN.
- Passionate about providing superb standard of academic and social support.
- Supportive, friendly, and outgoing personality.
