Live Services Engineer

Role: Live Services Engineer

Location: Liverpool or Remote (UK)

Duration: Permanent

We're looking for an experienced Engineer to join our development team, working alongside Rare. You will be joining a talented cross discipline team and work closely with Rare's Live Services team. As a member of the Live Services team, you would be delivering high-quality tested services to support current and future games.

The services are developed with .NET 6 and use highly scalable databases like Azure Cosmos DB. We're looking for someone to learn both from and with us, and to take an active role in the improvement of engineering at Lucid.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality tested services to support live game service features.
• Developing new services with .NET 6 and use highly scalable databases like Azure Cosmos DB.
• Working with game designers & programmers to deliver game features.

Required Experience:

• Solid grounding and experience in C#.
• Familiarity with automated build, test and deployment pipelines.
• Writing tests and testable code is a key element to our approach, so experience here is essential.

Desired Experience:

• CI/CD (Octopus Deploy/Azure DevOps/TeamCity).
• Designing, building and operating highly available and scalable microservices.
