Maintenance Engineer - East Quay

Lunar Freezing is based at Peterhead, and we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to work at our East Quay Factory based in Peterhead Harbour.

Primary responsibilities:

· Maintain the plant and equipment to the highest standard

· Carrying out tasks such as preventative maintenance, daily checks, and repairs

· Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company Health and Safety procedures

Skills required:

· Knowledge in repair and maintenance of the following machinery would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given. (e.g., filleting machines, packing lines and conveyers etc).

· Previous experience in fish processing would be an advantage.

· Good timekeeping

· Pleasant and professional manner in dealing with co-workers, supervisors, employees and outside agencies is essential

· Good team player and ability to work well in a multicultural environment

· Good communication skills (reading, speaking and writing)

Ability to follow and carry out instructions given

Schedule:

It is a full-time, permanent position, shift work position with overtimes available.

Flexibility required for covering backshift/nightshift working on rotation when required.

Saturday work will be required during busy period.

A competitive rate of pay is offered for this role, plus shift allowance when working backshift/nightshift. Overtime rates apply in respect of any hours worked in excess of 40 hours in any one week (one and a half of the basic rate).

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

• Peterhead, AB42 1JF: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
