Supervisor – C&I (Water)

Z-Tech is a leading player in the water industry, specialising in maintenance and project delivery in both clean and waste water. We are committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions and services to our customers. As part of our growth plans, we are seeking a Supervisor to join our team and oversee project delivery on-site, as well as managing our team of engineers and technicians.

As a Supervisor in our Water Business Unit, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating a team of skilled professionals. You will be responsible for overseeing projects, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards, and meeting customer requirements. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders will be essential in successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Coordinate and oversee project delivery works in the water industry, including planning, execution, and monitoring of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health and environmental standards, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives, specifications, and customer expectations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor project budgets.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, resolving technical challenges and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices and optimising operational efficiency.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in the water industry, with a focus on engineering works.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards and their application in engineering projects.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects within set timelines and budgets.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Problem-solving mind-set and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in the water industry.
