Job Role: Service Technician
Salary: Circa 25-30K (Neg on experience)
Duration: Fix Term Contract (31.12.2023)
Location: Peterborough/ East Midlands
GPS are recruiting for a Field Service Technician to cover the East Midlands/Peterborough area. This role is field based and requires the majority of the time travelling directly to customer sites. Field Service Technicians need to work as part of a team in supporting the activities of the Service Department by installing, calibrating and repairing company onboard Weighing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Fit and install weighing systems.
· Calibrate company weighing systems.
· Diagnose maintain and repair weighing systems.
· Provide customer service at their site.
· Provide customer advice and training on the use of weighing equipment.
· Provide technical support by telephone, e-mail or on site.
· If required to attend and to participate in engineers’ meetings.
· Recommending solutions problems.
· Assisting customers with application advice.
· Producing reports and other documents as deemed necessary.
· Flexible approach to working hours.
· To undertake, within reason any other task within the department at the request of a Manager or Director.
Suitable Criteria/Experience:
· Previous experience working with an electrical/mechanical engineering background who has experience with HGV is desired.
· The candidate would be home office based but of course would need to travel to customer sites.
· They would be covering the East Midlands/ Peterborough area, so they can be living in this area.
· Working time is 8.30 to 17.00 with a 1 hour break
· They would get a company van (Grafter or similar) - Clean driving licence.
Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 10 months
Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
