Server/Bartender

MAK is an all day Mediterranean restaurant and bar in the heart of Worthing. We pride ourselves on our professional yet friendly service.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic addition to our established team, to help create exceptional and memorable moments for our guests.

The job role includes:

• Serving customers in a friendly, timely, relaxed yet professional manner
• Ensuring smooth running of your section
• Building on product knowledge to help describe our dishes and drinks
• Keeping the restaurant tidy, maintaining highest standards of cleanliness and safety
• Taking orders with accuracy and efficiency
• Serving food or making drinks
• Taking payment correctly
• Reporting to the manager or supervisor on shift
• Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Undergo continuous training and coaching
• Consistantly deliver exceptional hospitality

The ideal candidate:

• Has a passion for service, food and drink
• Is self motivated, organised and charismatic
• Has strong people/customer facing skills
• Is a strong team player
• Is confident and friendly with a great sense of humour
• Is able to think on their feet

Knowledge of wines and cocktails is desirable but full training will be given.

Waiting and bar experience - 2 years (essential)

Customer service experience - 2 years (preferred)

Barista trained (preferred)

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £9.50-£10.00 per hour
