£22,369 - £24,054 per annum

37 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitable candidate to provide a lead role and expertise in relation to Climate Change Policy, Green Infrastructure, Ecology and Sustainable planning issues as part of the work of the Planning Policy Section.

You will provide consultation advice to other parts of the Council in relation to the above issues and also be responsible for delivering projects and initiatives that focus on reducing the Council’s carbon footprint. You will assist in the production of policies and procedures for the Council’s own actions to minimise its carbon footprint and promote the approach throughout the organisation and within partner organisations.

You will have the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people and organisations and influence them in relation to climate change and related issues, together with excellent communication skills including the ability to research and write analytical reports to a range of audiences.
