Summer Care Internship
37.5 hours per week as 12.5 hour days, with a requirement to work some unsocial hours as needed including evenings and weekends
Fixed Term Contract. Monday 17th July to Friday 8th September 2023
Martin House has been caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions from West, North and East Yorkshire for more than 30 years. Every year we care for more than 420 families at our hospice in Boston Spa, in hospitals and in their own homes. We also support more than 150 bereaved families each year.
This is an exciting opportunity for paid work within our care team in a family centred care environment. We are looking for students who are interested in developing skills and gaining experience in working with children and young people.
You will need to be available from the 17th July to 8th September 2023.
You will work alongside our care team, mostly with brothers and sisters of poorly children, and with young people who use our teenage and young adult hospice, Whitby Lodge. You will be expected to work some unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends.
If you want to be part of an exciting new journey within the Charity and are seeking a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
Please complete an application form from the Martin House Website, referring to the Job Description.
The closing date for applications is midday on Friday 9th June. Interviews will take place on Friday 16th June.
