Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Food and Drinks Runners to join us at Maxwell's Bar and Grill!

Based in the iconic Covent Garden, we are a high volume and extremely energetic venue famous for our Burgers, Freakshakes and outstanding hospitality.

Being a family friendly restaurant in the day and a cocktail hotspot at night our ideal candidate will have excellent people skills and be able to quickly adapt to different situations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Maintain the highest level of cleanliness within the ‘pass’ area (food runners section).

· Having in-depth and accurate knowledge about the menu.

· To deliver food and drink to the tables, and ensure our guests have everything they need to have the best dining experience possible with us.

· Delivering the correct food order from the lift to the correct table.

· Checking any modification to food items have been applied by the kitchen before the dish reaches the table and any important information about guests’ allergies info.

· Explanation of dishes to guests when they reach the table.

· Quality control – ensuring that any dishes that are delivered to the table are presented, appealingly and correctly.

· Assisting the waiters by clearing tables that you see have empty plates or glasses.

· Polishing cutlery, refilling sauces, refilling cutlery pots, making chip pots.

· Reporting any stock that appears to be running low to a manager.

· Ensuring the Runners station is in good condition. It should always be tidy, organised, and sanitary.

· To set up the pass area and close down accordingly at the end of the night.

·To be able to work both individually and as part of a team.

·To communicate any issues immediately to the manager on duty/ to the chef on the Pass.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-48 per week

Salary: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
