Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a challenging change project team at a Tier 1 Financial Institution, working closely with teams across London, New York, India and Poland.
The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be focused on defining the processes, tools and reporting for Global Credit and Market Risk Management. The primary scope of the work includes:
  • Working closely with key IT and Business stakeholders
  • Writing/reviewing documentation include the following: Business Requirement documents, Functional and Technical Specifications
  • Coordinating global testing activities including e2e, UAT, SIT, regression etc.
  • Analysing, documenting and validating business requirements
  • Challenging requirements with a responsibility for ensuring high quality delivery
  • Familiarity with concepts related to business analysis e.g. how to elicit business requirements, Software Development Lifecycle etc.
  • Drafting Business Requirements Documentation (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documentation (FRDs), test planning and scenario documents for user acceptance testing (UAT) and project plans.
  • Identify key project risks and resolve or escalate as appropriate.

This is a diverse and exciting role with opportunities for involvement in a variety of projects depending on skills and experience.

Minimum
  • 2:1 degree
  • Familiarity with credit and market risk concepts/methodologies
  • Must have BA experience
  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in banking or financial services
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude

Ideally
  • MBA or graduate degree in technical, engineering or numerical field
  • Familiarity with concepts related to business analysis e.g. how to elicit business requirements, Software Development Lifecycle etc.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and to prioritise accordingly
  • Strong analytical skills to investigate issues with attention to detail and accuracy
