Clinical Cardiology Fellow ST3+

Medicidiom is seeking a full time senior clinical fellow to join their client’s team. The successful candidate will be attached to one of the four Cardiology ward teams and will be expected to participate in associated ward rounds, as well as two clinics per week on average.

This role will offer excellent early career cardiology training opportunities, including angiography and echocardiography. Depending on prior experience, exposure to more advanced Cath lab-based techniques such as TAVI or advanced imaging or EP may also be possible. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the cardiology team and will be expected to attend the joint cardiology and cardiothoracic MDT once weekly.

The candidate must be willing to perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate consultant, in consultation with colleagues, both senior and junior. While it has been agreed that they will perform such duties, the Secretary of State stresses that additional commitments arising under this subsection are exceptions and, in particular, juniors should not be required to undertake work of this kind for prolonged periods or on a regular basis.
