We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to come and join the team at Medivet Thorpe Bay (Shoebury Road).

This role will function in an environment where colleagues support each other, by sharing skills and knowledge, to give our patients the best outcomes. You will be supported and encouraged to work to high medical and surgical standards. This role will involve a mixture of running the hospital, consulting patients and also some surgery. Confidence working sole charge is essential.

This is a full time permanent position, working 39 hours a week over 4 days, providing great work-life balance. This shift pattern includes 1:6 full weekends (Saturday morning at Medivet Leigh-on-Sea and afternoon at Medivet Thorpe Bay (Shoebury Road), Sunday at Medivet 24 Hour Southend). This role requires sole charge work on weekends, so the successful candidate must be confident working sole charge.

Salary & Benefits:

Competitive salary of up to £55,000

Accommodation allowance of £7,800

Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance

£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave, and in-house CPD training

VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

This RCVS accredited practice is equipped with pan optic, tonometry, digital x-rays, orthopaedic cruciate kit and a surgery. The welcoming and friendly team consists of 4 RVNS, 2 SVNS and 3 CCA’s.
