We are recruiting for a Director of IT who shares our ambition and vision to deliver theBest of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

The post holder is the functional lead for the organisation in developing and implementing the IT strategies, taking responsibility for IT resources and representing the organisation on IT matters and establishing relationships with IT partners, suppliers and other NHS and non-NHS bodies. The role of Director of IT is pivotal to the success of the digital strategy. The Director of IT will work closely with the Executive Team to develop a culture that facilitates excellence in IT services and systems across all directorates.

Ensure the successful delivery of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) strategy.

Develop and maintain the IT strategy and alignment with the Trust’s overall strategy, vision and business plans.

Lead the implementation of the IT strategy, incorporating the national strategy, and is consistent with its business plans. This will include the specification and implementation of appropriate solutions.

Ensure new and emerging technologies are evaluated and integrated into the IT strategy and programmes where appropriate.
