An exciting opportunity has risen for an experienced and enthusiastic midwife with the passion to teach to join the Education team at MFT as a full time secondment. As aRetention and Recruitment Midwife,your role will be to support clinical skills and staff training in both community and the inpatient settings.

You will work collaboratively with the wider maternity education team to enable appropriate education support for the changing role for the midwives.

Main Duties of the Job:
Be highly visible in the clinical area and act as a resource for both staff and women in our care. Promoting high standards of care through role modelling the demonstration of clinical expertise, leadership and professionalism.

To work clinically alongside midwives where support is required across the organisation, supporting individualised midwives to develop their practice.

To be competent in al clinical skills including suturing, cannulation, CTG Interpretation, water birth and be able to demonstrate these skills by teaching others.

To work effectively as part of the wider multidisciplinary team encouraging and supporting other health care professionals in the promotion and maintenance of an effective learning environment.
