Merton Council is an ambitious London Borough. Its new Leader and Cabinet are focused on building pride in the borough and delivering the best for our communities by putting the needs of residents at the heart of everything we do.
We’re looking for a campaigns, media and digital officer to join our communications team to deliver our flagship green and clean campaign to residents in the borough.
The role will focus on activity for the borough’s street scene, parks and green spaces covering both universal promotion, as well as targeted communications.
You’ll use data and insight to plan a creative campaign focused on the cleanliness of streets and town centres and our award winning parks. You will use a mixture of channels to reach target audiences, evaluate results and ensure delivery on objectives.
Media relations and digital communications (including shooting short films) are all part of this role.
The successful candidate will have experience in campaign planning, implementation and evaluation. A positive team player who can adopt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.

We are situated in the Merton Civic Centre, opposite to Morden Underground Station which is on the Northern Line. We are also a 10 minutes' walk from Morden Road Tram Stop and both Morden South and South Merton Railway Stations.
We are also near Wimbledon which is part of The London Borough of Merton.
The role will be working to a hybrid workplace model with the successful candidate based at home and the civic centre in Morden three days a week.
