What are we looking for?
Due to growth, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our team at our Head Office in Rugeley in an Accounts Assistant role.
Previous Accounts and/or Sage experience advantageous.
We are looking for someone who is a strong communicator, proactive, has an eye for detail and is a quick learner.
What will you be doing?
· Daily Liaison with Accounts Manager with clearly defined reporting.
· Audit and reconcile credit card transactions/bills.
· Project risk identification including additional costs requiring further approval.
· Support the Accounts Manager and wider accounts team by assisting in other accounting areas as needed.
· Assist with accounting related projects.
· Work with suppliers to maintain constructive and appropriate relationships.
· Use Accounts Payable system(s) to update purchase orders and invoices.
· Prepare any ad hoc reports and analysis as requested
· Oversee bank records and reconciliations
· Organise processing of supplier invoices
· Ensure payment details are updated for suppliers to enable payment within agreed time frames
· Record of cash transactions
· Maintaining general ledger records
· Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel
· Organised, professional, and proactive approach
· Willingness to learn and develop
· Any other tasks reasonably required within your role
