Position Overview & Specifications

Microtech, an award-winning IT company based in Kilmarnock, Scotland is looking for a Product Evangelist with between 3-5 years of product marketing experience to manage the company’s range of healthcare products and solutions.

This role will drive the strategy and execution of the product for the MiHealth suite of products and solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent business acumen and will be technically savvy; a big picture vision, a strong execution capability and the drive to make that vision a reality. This candidate will excel in a dynamic, fast paced ever-evolving environment within a leading healthcare technology company. This person must have a deep knowledge and expertise of the enterprise applications industry, healthcare/telehealth care applications and how to market them across the UK.

This is not a role for an out and out salesperson, but more of a product marketing influencer and someone that can engage an audience of primary healthcare professionals. You will be both the strategist and implementer of product positioning and go-to-market strategies to support Microtech’s sales and marketing efforts as well as support the direction of product development.

As Product Evangelist you will be responsible for providing product vision, creating roadmaps and taking our solutions to market. This person will work closely with the senior leadership team, as well as functional departments including Marketing, Product Development, and Sales to proactively support the field with effective positioning, marketing assets, product education, and competitive differentiation.

Duties and responsibilities of a Product Evangelist include:

  • Be a strong advocate & evangelist for the Company’s products and solutions in the healthcare industry, via forums, events, conferences, social media, etc.
  • Identify user needs through research and analysis.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Actively participate in design reviews with development team.
  • Ensure all marketing activities and communications are closely aligned with corporate product marketing messaging.
  • Define and prepare product specifications, maintain, and prioritise the feature backlog, and coordinate releases.
  • Create user stories and work closely with technical teams throughout the wireframe design.
  • Maintain Product release notes, documentation, compliance standards and user guides.
  • Assist with product information when tendering for work.
  • Work with the sales team to ensure the timely and effective delivery of MiHealth suite of products and solutions value proposition is enabled to the sales team and the wider market.
  • Support strategic sales activities directly with the sales team, bringing your subject matter expertise, creativity and innovation to sales cycles.
  • Support the education and training of customers on the positioning of our MiHealth suite of products and solutions.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to help shape customer presentations at internal and 3rd party events.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Skills:

  • Extensive experience of related product marketing and/or solution marketing experience; Healthcare/Telehealth care is a must, and some background in Cloud/SaaS based applications desirable.
  • Identify user needs through research and analysis.
  • Expertise and a proven track record successfully marketing healthcare applications a must have.
  • Experience building, driving and executing strategy across healthcare product and solution lines with defined revenue goals.
  • Experience building solid peer relationships in order to influence key stakeholders at executive management level across primary healthcare, community and secondary care.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches.
  • Proven track record influencing key analysts and others in the healthcare community.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
