Position Overview & Specifications
- Fluent in the English language;
- Chief Officer License required;
- Minimum 2-year experience as 2nd Officer, or higher onboard cruise vessels;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
- Skills required: decision making, communication, conflict resolution and ability to prioritise;
- Knowledge of deck systems such as NACOS\/SAM Electronics, NAPA, etc.;
- Knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC and ISM requirements;
- Knowledge of FF\/LSA systems for the shipboard.
- Manages Crisis level 1 emergency: medical, small fires, etc;
- Respects the shift rotation working hours including night shifts;
- Informs the Senior Maritime Support Officer\/Crisis Response Director of any crisis and\/or anomaly;
- Activates the Emergency Group Ashore in case of crisis level 2-3 upon approval from Crisis Response Director;
- Completes the daily “Maritime Support Centre” log book;
- Performs the assigned daily job tasks by end of shift;
- Reports any discrepancies between shipboard practice and Safety Company Policies.
