An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Assistant, who will support the Hotel Maintenance Manager with both planned and reactive maintenance, defect repair and health & safety checks

Duties and Responsibilities

• Be passionate about your role and association with the Estate.
• You will ensure all areas across the estate are decorated and maintained to a high standard.
• To carry out mandatory checks and maintenance on all electrical equipment and plant, whilst reporting accurately on the status throughout.
• Be involved in all areas of painting and decorating.
• Liaise with the wider hotel team to ensure a smooth and efficient service is provided at all times.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for yourself, guests and colleagues in line with the company’s security, operating and environmental policies.
• Thinking on your feet, remaining calm under pressure and responding quickly to priority tasks.
• Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us memorable.

Person Specification

Essential

• Previous experience of working in a similar type role covering a variety of maintenance work.
• A good knowledge of hotel services would be advantageous.
• Practical skills for driving and operating machinery.
• The ability to work well as part of a team and individually.
• Excellent time keeping and communication skills.
• Full driving licence.
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to adapt to change and have a flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.
• A desire to further continue their own personal development.
