Role Overview & Responsibilities

National Timber Systems, part of the National Timber Group are looking to recruit Production Operatives to join the Production site at NTS Catterick, Bridge Road, Brompton on Swale, Richmond, DL10 7HS.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, flexible and a reliable team player with good literacy and numeracy skills. An interest in, or previous experience of basic woodworking would be advantageous although not essential as full training will be given.

Duties may include:

  • Assisting in the assembly of timber components to order requirements
  • Picking products for orders
  • Loading/unloading vehicles
  • Use of equipment, machinery and plant (after training)
  • Completion of basic standard paperwork

Working hours, Pay and Benefits:

  • Shift one: Monday to Friday either 6.00am to 2.00pm or 2.00pm to 10.00pm, competitive hourly rate + percentage shift allowance paid for all basic total hours. Agreed hours over basic total hours are paid at overtime rates OR Shift two: Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm, Fri 8.00am to 3.30pm, competitive basic hourly rate + all agreed hours worked over basic total hours are paid at overtime rates
  • Hourly rate increases available following successful completion of probationary period
  • Further increases available following training and development to achieve semi-skilled or skilled status
  • Further increases available for achievement of specific skills
  • Shift allowance paid at 16.5% extra for all basic total hours worked 6.00 to 2.00 or 2.00 to 10.00
