Job title: Cleaner
Salary £10.50 - £10.59 per hour
Hours per week: Part Time. Average 14 hours per week. (3 weekly rota, 2 weeks of 15 hours per week and 1 of 12 hours per week).

Main purpose of the post
To clean designated areas to contract specification.
Main duties and responsibilities
- To undertake the cleaning of designated areas within the premises, which from time to time may vary at the discretion of the head of the establishment or such other persons as the Authority may designate.
- To ensure that the designated areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition in accordance with agreed schedules and quality standards.
- Specific duties shall include cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of the designated areas (which include both toilet and catering facilities) along with the fixtures and fittings.
- To use, where appropriate, powered equipment.
- Duties and hours may vary between closure periods and shall be undertaken at the discretion of the Authority commensurate with the grade.
- To undertake training as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant bylaws.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
- Any other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade and designation of the post, as may be directed from time to time by his/her line Manager.
Standards of Performance
- Ensuring the Quality Assurance requirements are fully adhered to in accordance with the Directorate’s policies and procedures.
- Ensuring that Health and Safety at Work policies are strictly adhered to.
Welsh language: Welsh language skills are not required for this post.
DBS requirement: There is no requirement for a DBS check for this post.
