Corporate Policy Support Officer (Tackling Poverty)

Job description

Fixed Term post until 31/03/2025 (Shared Prosperity Funding) /37hrs per week.

We are currently looking for a Corporate Policy Support Officer (Tackling Poverty) to join our team. Tackling poverty is a key priority for the Council and its partners and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of that work.


The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to get the right information and support to those who need help the most by working with colleagues from across the Council, partners and stakeholders.


This work will involve the use of the Low Income Family Tracker (LIFT) system by considering the data available and identifying groups of people who could be supported.


The main duties of the post are;


  • To lead on the development, implementation and co-ordination of the LIFT system, working across the council and with partners and stakeholders.
  • To develop and monitor the LIFT action plan
  • To produce letters, flyers and other media in order to engage with identified groups.

You will have experience in data analysis and a good knowledge of current trends, resources and information relating to poverty along with excellent presentation and communication skills.

Ideally you will have;

A degree and good IT skills including the use of word, excel, access, power point, teams and outlook.
