Job Description:

NeuerEnergy is looking for a Data Engineer to work on our consulting projects, primarily building the ETL data pipelines, responsible for loading customer data into the platform and Real Time and batch data pipelines.

Key responsibilities:

• As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for building the ETL data pipelines, responsible for loading customer data into the platform
• Any cloud experience but ideally Microsoft Azure
• Proven, hands-on experience in Data Engineering role
• API and data management
• A good mentor to other team members for standards, problem solving and best practices
• Demonstrate experience building both Real Time and batch data pipelines to match the evolving needs of the business
• Provide technical support to other teams within the organisation as required
• Code solutions that are reusable and maintainable (using languages such Python and/or C sharp)
• Strong experience writing complex SQL and writing good quality python code

Tech Skills

• Build, test and deploy Data pipelines on Azure Platform
• Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Parquet, on-prem to cloud, SQL and no-SQL data stores
• De-duplicate, transform and conform as appropriate from source to target structure
• Build and support both batch and Real Time pipelines
• Implement solutions to improve our observability, findability, data privacy and other data governance and architectural concerns
• Detailed physical design of data storage solutions
• Logical and physical Data Modeling
• Implement data transformation rules for batch and data streaming in SQL and Python
• Implement CI/CD from Git to Azure Platform
• Can work autonomously
• Not daunted by adoption of new technologies

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience in some of Energy, Media, Telecoms and Utilities
• Prototyping and wireframing
• Understanding of microservices and event-driven / messaging architectures

Salary: £65,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
