Position Overview & Specifications
We are seeking an enthusiastic Radiographer with previous experience as an Advanced Practitioner / Reporting Radiographer or Consultant Radiographer in plain image reporting (MSK or chest) to provide managerial, clinical and strategic leadership of the Radiographer Advanced Practice Reporting team. You will be responsible for ensuring delivery of a high-quality diagnostic imaging service using innovative service delivery, meeting clinical standards and challenging traditional boundaries by further development of advanced practice.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead, influence and undertake research in clinical reporting of radiographic examinations. You will play a key role as an expert professional, providing advice to Medical Consultants, other health professionals and MDT groups, contributing to improved outcomes for patients, seeking to develop further the patient focused approach to care.
There will also be a requirement to provide specialist training and education, supervision, mentorship and ongoing support for Reporting Radiographers, Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners and specialist radiology trainees in the study and development of knowledge and skills within area of expertise.
Candidates will be required to have a full Masters degree or PhD/Prof Doc and be registered with the HCPC as a Radiographer.
