The NHS Lothian Pharmacologistics Service has responsibility for the purchasing, invoicing, contracting and overlabelling of medicines. An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly team, as a Pharmacy Technician. This new role was developed as part of a service redesign to ensure service sustainability and resilience of the service.
The post holder will be working as part of a team of pharmacy technicians and support staff, supporting delivery of the contracting and medicines shortages service to ensure the safe and effective supply of medicines to patients. This post will be based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE), although there will be opportunities to carry out many aspects of the role from a remote site.
Candidates should possess a National Certificate (NC) in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent, SVQ level III or equivalent, and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
