Position Overview & Specifications
The Assistant Logistics Manager will play a key role within NHS Lanarkshire’s Procurement & Logistics Department through managing the day-to-day activity of the Logistics function. This function provides a Ward Product Management service across NHS Lanarkshire’s acute general hospitals, and the post holder will help deliver a service which meets customer needs and delivers goods effectively, at the right time, in the right place, and in the right quantity.
The Assistant Logistics Manager will provide direction and customer focus to Logistics staff involved in the Ward Product Management service, and actively liaise with Wards/ Departments to ensure that the service offered is optimal, with opportunities to improve the service identified and offered to customers. The post holder will also work to ensure that Logistics activity is aligned with and supports all procurement, commercial and contracting activity.
Working in partnership with staff across Procurement and Logistics, the role offers an excellent opportunity for the post holder to gain broad skills and experience beneficial to future professional development.
