Healthcare Support Worker - LB

The Planned care directorate is looking to recruit a Band 3 Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) to come and join our team within the Oral Maxillofacial Department, this service includes diagnosis and treatment of: impacted teeth, dental infection, facial trauma, salivary gland disease, cysts and tumours of the jaws, head and neck cancers, facial deformity and disease of the oral mucosa. OMFS also works with other specialists including orthodontists, ear nose and throat (ENT) surgeons and plastic surgeons. The speciality is unique in that all consultants require dual qualification in both dentistry and medicine. The department is made up of: Consultants, Associate Specialist, Specialty Doctors, Clinical Fellows, OMFS Dental Nurses/HCSW. Treatment and clinics are provided at three sites across Fife: Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy Queen Margaret Hospital. Dunfermline, Adamson Hospital. St Andrews As a Band 3 HCSW nurse you will work between all sites.

The Outpatient Clinic environment are rewarding environments with opportunities to develop and extend the knowledge and skills and work alongside Consultant, Specialist Oral Surgeons and Registered Dental Nurses caring for patients with a wide range of Head and neck surgical, medical and trauma conditions.
