The Facilities and Estates Sector of NHS Grampian provides a wide range of essential services which directly support the continuous (24/7) delivery of high quality & safe care to patients, staff and public, across the entire organisation.
NHS Grampian Estates Department has an opportunity for a skilled “Maintenance Worker Specialist (Plumbing Assurance)” Craftsperson to help provide maintenance support across all NHS Grampian properties while being based on the Foresterhill Campus.
This post will require the candidate to travel throughout NHSG sites to maintain, repair, operate and fault find on a range of cold and hot water systems and associated equipment, necessary for the provision of an efficient, safe and high quality healthcare service.
It will include, but not be limited to, review of Water Safety based risk assessments and the close out any water safety audit actions.
The candidate should have completed a recognised and registered EITB or CITB (or equivalent) craft apprenticeship or City and Guilds qualification. The candidate should also have good communication skills, experience of working as part of a team and be computer literate.
This Band 4 post is a permanent, full time post and offers excellent terms and conditions including being enrolled into the high quality NHS Scotland Pension Scheme 2015 which offers, defined benefits at retirement and protection for your dependents based on your career average earnings.
This post is a Band 4 position. Starting salary £25,914 + £3,277 approx. Recruitment and Retention Premier (reviewed annually) + 1 in 7 weeks on call approx. £1,224.72 (total approx. £30,415.72). 27 days annual leave + 8 public holidays.
