Position Overview & Specifications

Nivo Digital is recruiting a creative Website Designer to join our growing team. As a website designer, using WordPress you will work with the team to help to produce websites for a variety of clients.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Degree in a relevant subject.

Requirements:

  • Portfolio.

Necessary Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Creativity.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Strong technical ability.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Patience.
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills.
  • Willing to accept feedback and improve upon work.
  • Understanding of key design principles.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Comfortable with debugging.
  • Ability to be adaptable & flexible.
  • Experience with the Adobe Suite e.g. Illustrator, XD, Photoshop.
  • Comfortable working independently on tasks.

Highly Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with CMS e.g. WordPress.
  • Knowledge of HTML & CSS.
  • Interest and knowledge in UX design.
  • Experience with WordPress site builders such as Elementor.
  • Ability to create cost calculators & other logic based tools.
  • Managing e-commerce sites.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Comfortable with launching websites.
  • Previous experience working with DNS records.
  • File & Database configuration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients to discuss requirements and project progress.
  • Keeping up to date with technological & software developments.
  • Researching current trends.
  • Launching & maintaining websites.
  • Creating high quality website wireframes & proptypes.
  • Researching into technologies & solutions.
  • Building aesthetically pleasing and functional websites.
  • Testing websites & fixing issues that may arise.
  • Working with various members of the team.
