Founded in 2010, our client began as a freight forwarding company, exporting seafood from Scotland/England to mainland Europe. In 2017, our client purchased their first truck and with the fleet increasing to 13, it provides flexibility and control to help deliver a service for our customers that cannot be matched in the industry.
Warehouseman
They have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouseman to join their team based in Darnley, Glasgow. You will be working effectively in the operational sections company, to ensure that the operations are achieved in line with the Company Quality System.
Main responsibilities
- To check that materials and products conform to Company Specifications and inform relevant management regarding any food quality or safety or legality issues that arise.
- To follow Company Policies, Procedures, instructions and Standards in the Company Quality Management System.
- To inform the relevant supervisors about any problems in achieving the Company Operational requirements.
- To identify any factory, transport or engineering problems and inform their supervisor.
- To help the relevant management in identifying solutions to any problems identified.
- To report and help the relevant management concerning food safety and quality issues.
- To ensure that all Company documentation and records are completed as required by the Company Quality Management System.
- To be responsible for the health and safety of themselves and others involved in their working area.
- To carry out all training and development requested where appropriate.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of Company Quality Assurance Policies, Procedures, Instructions and HACCP systems.
- Knowledge and understanding f Company Health and Safety Policies, Procedures and Risk Assessment systems.
- Be able to effectively communication with the Management Team about the use of materials or products that may affect the quality, safety or legal compliance of the products.

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
