Applications are invited for a Bereavement Care Officer to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a person with excellent communication skills and an ability to work with people of all levels and backgrounds. You will be well organised, adaptable and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, sometimes with little supervision.
This can sometimes be an emotionally challenging role, and you will need to show flexibility and empathy in order to meet the needs of our service users.
You will work as part of the bereavement care team across both trust sites and will be supported to develop your skills and experience in this area of work.

- To give information, advice and support to relatives on the procedures required when someone dies.
- To work with families, hospital chaplains, crematorium staff, funeral directors, coroner’s officers, Medical Examiners and mortuary staff, to facilitate the timely production of documentation needed after a death.
