Position Overview & Specifications
We are a supportive and diverse team of 23 staff. The Dietetic team has close working links with CAMH teams, health visiting, Community Children’s nurses, Community Dietetic team and colleagues in the paediatric tertiary centres. We support the training of Students from the University of Hertfordshire.
- Provide a highly specialist paediatric Dietetic role in the management of eating disorders (ED), disordered eating, feeding difficulties and inpatient services of acutely ill children and young people (CYP) within North West Anglia Foundation Trust (NWAFT) Hospital sites.
- Provide a highly specialised paediatric dietetic service to the paediatric units based at Peterborough City Hospital and working cross-site at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
- Work effectively and efficiently independently as well as co-working with hospital staff and the in-reach Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) teams in the hospital setting.
- Provide support, training and direction to the Trust multidisciplinary team (MDT), ensuring safe and effective delivery of patient focussed care in line with identified evidence based practice, local and national standards.
- Support and guide the dietetic teams Band 6, 5 and support staff in the management and delivery of therapeutic care plans and training of dietetic students.
- Support the Team Lead in promoting the development of a Trust wide evidenced based service, leading on developing clinical pathways, guidelines and education within their area of expertise.
- Participate in relevant research, audit and development projects.
