We offer 2 weeks supernumerary, ongoing mentoring and regular reviews. Our new starters are very well supported in our friendly and welcoming team.
The successful candidate will be expected to work a s part of a dynamic nursing team delivering all aspects of care to the patients.
You will have the opportunity to develop in this specialised field as well as continuing development . There are a huge range of learning opportunities to develop new skills.
You should be committed to working effectively as part of a multi disciplinary team and have excellent communication skills.
The post is fully rotational days/nights and covers seven days a week.
The successful post holder must be a positive role model, compassionate and inclusive leadership skills
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. - To implement and evaluate nursing care working as a member of the ward team under the direction of the Ward Manager.
- To exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- To be responsible for all nursing care standards and to maintain high clinical standards.
- To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote
