Full time, days and hours to be discussed, flexibility within working hours will be required due to seasonal nature of the business.

Up to £12.50ph depending on experience.

Working at our busy modern Production Nursery near Coggeshall, producing over 1000 different varieties of plants which are then sold at our Plant Centre and despatched to both retail and trade customers.

Key Duties

Working with the Nursery Manager to ensure plants are produced to a high standard and ready for sale as required.

Deputising for the Nursery Manager in his absence including supervision of the Nursery team.

Operating Nursery machinery along with general maintenance of machines.

Moving, loading and unloading stock within the Nursery.

Watering, feeding, spraying, weeding, pruning, propagation, picking and labelling stock.

Assist with getting stock ready for dispatch.

Additional Nursery tasks as needed.

Your capabilities

Current experience of growing within a commercial environment.

Excellent bedding plant knowledge essential.

Good communication skills essential, along with basic computing ability.

Current certificates in fork-lift truck driving and spraying / pest & disease control preferred, but training will be given if necessary.

Ability to work both inside and outside in varied weather conditions.

You must be physically fit to move trolleys and large plants.

Ability to work as a member of a team or on your own.

Able to operate in a fast-paced commercial facility, using your own initiative.

Be aware of seasonal demands in horticulture and retail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.50-£12.50 per hour
