Position Overview & Specifications
Summary:
Assist in the service of food and beverages to a range of customers, collection of payment and undertake general cleaning duties within the restaurant.
Responsible to: Chef / Manager
Main responsibilities:
- Set up of all front of house food areas prior to service to ensure that the restaurant is ready for opening, to include the preparation and activation of cooking and food/beverage equipment
- Serve, assemble and package food and beverages for customers to ensure a fast, efficient and courteous standard of service
- Re-stock drinks dispensers, cutlery and napkin holders
- Display a bright, cheerful and welcoming attitude towards customers and other members of staff at all times
- Process cash and credit/debit card payments from customers using the prescribed procedures
- Where required, assist with the unpacking, checking and storage of food and janitorial supplies
- Regularly clear tables of used food trays and packaging, crockery etc. and store clean crockery ready to be used again for food service.
- Undertake cleaning duties to include general cleaning of front of house areas and all dining areas & equipment (eg. drinks & coffee machines, serving counters, fridges & public areas) and removal of rubbish as part of the legal requirement to provide a clean and hygienically safe dining environment. Will undertake the above duties working on a rotational basis and any additional duties as requested by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Training in culinary arts, prior work experience, works quickly and precisely, physical stamina,
flexible schedule, good communication skills, organisational skills, team player, leadership skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 - 35 per week
Pay: £6.93-£10.97 per hour
